Good to excellent trail all the way. Some switchbacks have been cut and can throw the route off a bit. It was kind of dry down low and green and lush up high with even a few snow drifts. Trampas Lakes themselves are awesome but the area looks heavily used and somewhat abused with axed down trees, cuts and carvings. The Sierra Club book says 12 miles. it’s actually 11.07 miles with 2569 feet. It took us 6:25 to complete. We did not do Hidden Lakes. That would have added about a 1.5 miles round trip.
